Questions relating to Sahaj

Sahaj Regenerative Cell Therapeutics offers expert advice and information, diagnosis and treatment. We're here to answer any questions you may have about Sahaj SVF Therapy.

Q. Is it a stem cell procedure ?

No. It is not a stem cell procedure. Sahaj Therapy is autologous SVF grafting done in a single surgical sitting.

Q. Are there any side effects?

Generally speaking, aside from the initial pain at the injection site, the patient will not experience any discomfort. Few patients have developed a minor fever, headache, nausea or vomiting. However , these side effects have never lasted more than three days and usually resolve within 24 hours. No long term negative side effects have been reported.

Q. Is Sahaj therapy painful?

At all points in your procedure you will receive the required amount of pain management including local anesthetic and sedation. This will mean you will be calm, comfortable and a little drowsy throughout the procedure while always being attentively observed by a doctor or nurse at our Sahaj Therapy center.

Q. Why we don’t Culture Cells?

Cultured cells are ten times larger than non-cultured cells. This means they have difficulty getting through the lungs (Pulmonary first pass phenomenon) which filter them out and struggle to cross the blood brain barrier. Non-cultured cells what we isolate in SVF Technology can go into every tissue in the body including the brain and spine.

Q. How safe is SVF technology ?

There have been no significant adverse effects recorded in the literature to date with SVF. Side effects to date, such as flushing, raised temperature and joint pain, have mostly been related with the mini-liposuction and joint injections procedures.

Q.What are the side effects of the medicines I am taking during stage I-III of Arthritis?

Long term use of Steroids Steroids can produce many unpleasant and often permanent side effects, including:

  • damage to the gonads (testicles or ovaries)
  • liver diseases
  • malfunctions of the kidneys, liver or heart
  • mood swings, including deep depression
  • severe acne
  • high blood cholesterol levels
  • high blood pressure
  • injuries to tendons that can't keep up with the increased muscle strength
  • fluid retention
  • trembling and muscle tremors
  • Stunted bone growth in adolescents.
  • Long Term Use of Painkillers causes

  • Constipation
  • Nausea or Vomiting
  • Dizziness
  • Confusion
  • Addiction
  • Respiratory depression
  • Increased risk of heart attack
  • Insomnia
  • With that much risk these are not having capability to cure the root cause of pain i.e. Cartilage damage which can be cured by SVF- Sahaj Therapy

Q. What are Grades/ Stages of Osteoarthritis?

This is basically categorized into four classes on the basis of Grade of Cartilage damage and degree of deformity

Q. Symptoms of Osteoarthritis

Symptoms of Osteoarthritis vary, depending on which joints are affected and how severely they are affected. However, the most common symptoms are pain and stiffness, particularly first thing in the morning or after resting. Affected joints may get swollen, especially after extended activity. These symptoms tend to build over time rather than show up suddenly. Some of the common symptoms include:

Sore or stiff joints – particularly the knees and Hips – after inactivity or overuse.

  • Limited range of motion or stiffness that goes away after movement
  • Clicking or cracking sound when a joint bends
  • Mild swelling around a joint
  • Pain made worse by prolonged activity and relieved by rest.
  • Increased pain associated with cold temperature and high humidity
  • Pain that is worse after activity or toward the end of the day

Q. Rheumatoid Arthritis treatment?

Mild cases can be managed with anti-inflammatory medication (NSAIDs). More severe cases can be managed with a class of medications called anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDS) but they can’t cure root cause.
SVF procedure is having capability to modulate auto immune responses which is the root cause of problem
The goals of treatment are to reduce pain, decrease inflammation, and improve a person's overall functioning.

Side effects from medications used for pain relief can also leads to produce damage to vital body organs such as liver, kidney etc.

Q. What can cause necrosis?

Reasons of Necrosis are still undefined by science. Necrosis is caused by factors external to the cell or tissue, such as infection, toxins, or trauma which result in the unregulated digestion of cell components. In contrast, apoptosis is a naturally occurring programmed and targeted cause of cellular death.

Q. How Long is the Procedure?

The procedure will take approximately 3-4 hours and SVF will administrated in the effective joint, it requires one day hospitalization.

Q. How long does recovery take?

Rest is a vital part of the recovery process We firmly recommend you rest at home for the following 48 hours after treatment and continue to relax for the following week. It is suggested that you take a week off of work to allow your treated area to fully recover. You will also need to refrain from exercise for 8 weeks after treatment.

Q. What are Autologous Cells?

Autologous means ‘from yourself’, cells from your own body cannot bring any new disease or genes that can weaken your body and will also not be rejected. We use only Autologous cell in SVF Technology

Q. How SVF Technology benefits me from Joint Pain ?

SVF is heterogeneous mixture of cells they act by modulating immune responses and regenerating cartilage. So, they will reduce joint pain and stiffness, there by making life healthy and pain free.

Q. Efficacy of SVF technology ?

A patient treated with ‘SVF Technology’ will obtain on average a 80% improvement in pain and mobility from degenerative joint disease. We have observed a demonstrated efficacy with SVF for at least 5 years and still continuing.

Q. How is SVF- Sahaj Therapy is beneficial for Arthritis?

SVF procedure – Sahaj Therapy will not only get patient rid from sever joint pain but save your natural joint by controlling degeneration and regeneration misbalance and provides a Biological Solution for Biological Problem.
It also give you freedom from long term regular utilization of steroids and analgesics/ pain killers which may leads to serious issues such as damage to vital body organs like liver, kidney etc.

Q. What is OA –Osteoarthritis?

It is a degenerative joint disease or degenerative arthritis, osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common chronic condition of the joints. It generally effects larger weight bearing joints such as Knee, hip etc having common reason of pain i.e. Cartilage Damage.

The wearing down of the protective tissue at the ends of bones (cartilage) occurs gradually and worsens over time.

In normal joints, a firm, rubbery material called cartilage covers the end of each bone.

Cartilage provides a smooth, gliding surface for joint motion and acts as a cushion between the bones.

In OA, the cartilage breaks down, causing pain, swelling and problems moving the joint. As OA worsens over time, bones may break down and develop growths called spurs. Bits of bone or cartilage may chip off and float around in the joint. In the body, an inflammatory process occurs and cytokines (proteins) and enzymes develop that further damage the cartilage. In the final stages of OA, the cartilage wears away and bone rubs against bone leading to joint damage and more pain.

Q. How OA may Affect Overall Health?

The pain, reduced mobility, side effects from medication and other factors associated with osteoarthritis can lead to negative health effects not directly related to the joint disease.

Knee or hip pain may lead to a sedentary lifestyle that promotes weight gain and possible obesity. Being overweight or obese can lead to the development of diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure.

Side effects from medications used for pain relief such as Analgesics, Steroids etc can also leads to produce damage to vital body organs such as liver, kidney etc.
Narcotic pain relievers or steroids can cause people to feel dizzy, unbalanced and leads to addiction of it.

Q. What is Rheumatoid Arthritis?

This is a slow progression disease often, symptoms come on gradually over weeks to months. Over long periods of time, the inflammation associated with Rheumatoid Arthritis can cause bone erosion and joint deformity.

Most commonly, the wrist and hands are involved, with the same joints typically involved on both sides of the body. In this body's immune system attacks its own tissue, including joints. In severe cases, it attacks internal organs also.

Rheumatoid Arthritis affects joint linings i.e. Cartilage causing painful swelling.

Q. How RA may Affect Overall Health ?

If not modulated disease may also affect other parts of the body.
This may result in a low red blood cell count, inflammation around the lungs, and inflammation around the heart. Fever and low energy may also be present.

Q. What is AVN?

Avascular necrosis (AVN), also called osteonecrosis, bone infarction, aseptic necrosis, and ischemic bone necrosis, is cellular death (necrosis) of bone components due to interruption of the blood supply. Without blood, the bone tissue dies and the bone collapses. If avascular necrosis involves the bones of a joint, it often leads to destruction of the joint articular surfaces or Cartilage.

As the condition worsens, your affected joint may hurt only when you put weight on it. Eventually, the joint may hurt even when you're lying down. Pain can be mild or severe and usually develops gradually. Pain associated with avascular necrosis of the hip may be focused in the groin, thigh or buttock.

Q. What happens inAvascular Necrosis of hip?

Avascular necrosis is the death of bone tissue due to a lack of blood supply. Also called osteonecrosis, avascular necrosis can lead to tiny breaks in the bone and the bone's eventual collapse. The blood flow to a section of bone can be interrupted if the bone is fractured or the joint becomes dislocated.
